Hello everyone, Its been a while. Last time i posted i had just covered the Pawsox game and i was riding high. Since then life has taken over and i have been on a bit of a hiatus. Well im happy to say im back. I should have a new post every so often. Lets get right into it and talk about sports. Ohhhh awkward. Well thank to Covid-19 the sports world is in a brand new era. Now i've said before im not a big basketball guy. Shh dont tell Kyle Draper he might revoke my friendship. But i must say of all the leagues the NBA was one that got it right. The other was the NHL. Both leagues had bubble environments which limited the number of cases. The only issue i have is the NBA really didnt police the players very well. But they did get lucky and were able to finish their season. Baseball i thought for sure would fail instantly with no bubble and multiple positive tests popping up. But some how they forged on and were able to finish. Congrats Dodgers. But now we have the NFL. No bubble and teams getting positive tests almost every week it seems like. But they somehow are continuing to put out games and it seems to be going well. This is a weird and new world we are in. Hopefully soon we will be able to be back inside stadiums and enjoying live game while drinking the 15 dollar beers. Moving on let me tell you all my loyal fans what ive been up too. At the beginning of the pandemic my job decided to go down to every other day. While still paying us full time hours so i must say not a bad deal. Wait, I tell you, im no longer at NBC Sports Boston, Nor am i at 985 anymore. So ok back up a bit. Last august, I was plugging along at the sports hub and things seemed fine. Then one day i was helping my oldest son pull up his pants and when i bent over, well daddy didnt make it back up. Fast forward 2 days later and im being told i need emergency surgery. Now when i got to Lahey Burlington i was told by my surgeon that it wasnt as serious as the ER dr made it seem but that i would still require surgery. So i had the operation later that week and then went home to recover. After my recovery i made the attempt to return to the sports hub but with the amount of hours and having it be overnights i decided i needed to go back to a career that had better hours and decent pay. I decided to go back into banking. Ok now that your all caught up i can continue where i left off. So at the beginning of the pandemic i was on an every other day schedule. I was bored one day at home and thought hmm i need a new grill. Summer was fast approaching and i needed something new. To the internet i went. I found a website that was all about smokers and pellet grills. I decided on a Pit Boss Pro series. This thing is amazing. If you follow me on twitter or instagram then you have no doubt seen some of my cooking creations. Ive no doubt spent a small fortune perfecting this craft and i love it. I made the decision to make my blog not only about sports but to include BBQ and Beer conversation. Then once i get my podcast back up and running (hopefully in spring) i will shift back to sports but i will still include BBQ talk as well. Its great to be posting again and hopefully you will follow me or continue to follow me. The support has been amazing.
Brad
